COVID19 UPDATE: Spay Neuter Clinic of the Carolinas Updated August 17, 2021
Effective Wednesday, August 18, 2021 Mecklenburg County resumed it’s mask mandate. Mask are again required to enter the building. You will be allowed to enter through one door and must exit through another while maintaining social distancing of 6 feet apart with no more than 12 people (Clients) in the building at one time.
-This will allow you to enter to check-in for surgery, drop off your pet, pick-up your pet, and to pick-up prescription medications. To reduce risk and allow our staff to continue to provide care, clients will not be permitted to accompany their pet into our exam rooms. We are supplying indoor seating while you wait or you can elect to wait in your vehicle. Please DO NOT LEAVE THE PROPERTY.
-If you are not comfortable entering the building you may do so or ask for curbside service.
-Curbside services: Remaining in your car, clients are asked to call us at 704-542-9997 from a mobile phone upon arrival. A staff member will obtain a history on your pet and get you checked in.
-A staff member will retrieve your pet from your car- please leash dogs and utilize carriers for cats. Please remain in your car for the appointment. -After an examination is performed, the veterinarian or technician will call or come speak to you with their exam findings and treatment plan.
-Once treatments are completed, you will receive another call to handle payment while your pet is returned to your car. We will only be accepting credit card payments or cash at this time. (Depending on available change so please have at least 2 forms of payment with you) No AMEX accepted.
-If you need prescriptions or food for your pet, unless it is single doses of Flea or Heartworm prevention, we are still recommending that you use our trusted online pharmacy. Please BUY LOCAL and not through 3rd party platforms. Otherwise, please call in advance to confirm your medication is available for refill. Upon arrival at the hospital, same mask and social distancing rules apply.

The Spay Neuter Clinic of the Carolinas is a low-cost Charlotte spay neuter clinic, wellness, and minor illness and injury facility dedicated to making your experience friendly and comfortable for you, your family, and your pets. We strive to eliminate any stress that may be felt when your pet is having any procedure or surgery. We understand that your pets are your family too and that low cost does not mean low care for your animals!
We offer not only spay neuter services, but hugs, kisses and vaccines. We also offer testing, microchipping, pain medications, parasite prevention, x-ray, in-house lab work, dental cleanings and extractions, heartworm treatments, more cuddling, and a variety of other services. Spay & Neuter Procedures for Cats & Dogs
The Spay Neuter Clinic of the Carolinas performs sterilization surgery for cats, kittens, dogs, puppies. All kittens and puppies must be at least 2 pounds and 3 months of age in order to qualify. All cats and dogs need to be current on their rabies vaccine. Cats need to have one FVRCP (Distemper) vaccine given by a licensed veterinarian and all dogs need to have one DHPP/DHLPP (Distemper) given by a licensed veterinarian in order to qualify. If your pet does not have these current vaccinations at the time of your scheduled appointment, you may purchase them from us at our clinic and we will be happy to give them to your pet
We Can See Your Pet for Other Things!
*All pets are required to have a current rabies vaccine to be seen. Please bring proof (rabies certificate or computer printout) of a current rabies vaccine or one WILL BE REQUIRED at the time of your pet’s appointment with us. Come see us for your pet’s physical, annual test, vaccines, x-ray, heartworm treatment, dental procedures and parasite preventions. We are currently taking appointments Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:40pm..
