It all started with her first word… ‘Dog’! And that dog, Murphy, was also her first rescue, plucked off the streets of Brooklyn as a young stray. Through the years her interest in community service and education grew. After Michele began working as special education teacher, she became especially interested in educating the public about the plight of homeless pets and thus helped start Best Friend Pet Adoption in Cary, NC. Michele has also worked as a pet-sitter, a grooming apprentice and most recently as a doggie daycare group leader at a large facility in Charlotte. She is excited to come to work everyday where her work matters and she can continue to “Let her life speak” by supporting our local rescue groups and public in accessing affordable veterinary care.
